Ms. Mattie’s Bar-B-Q Shrimp

Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp
2 scallion for rice
Kosher salt (if desired)
16 oz bottle Ms. Mattie’s Bar-B-Q Sauce for marinating/garnishing/dipping
White rice
One lemon
1 Avocado (ripe)
1 onion, diced (optional)
1 stick butter
1 tablespoon Olive oil (optional)
Dash of course ground black or white pepper

Instructions

Heat oil and butter on med high, watching closely, in deep dish skillet.
Season shrimp as you like with or without skin/with or without head.
Marinade for 1-2 hours or use Ms. Mattie’s Bar-B-Q Sauce to sauté.
Place shrimp in hot pan allowing them to sear for 2-4 seconds on each side, then lower heat, cover for 1-2 minutes.
Cover with ¼ cup Ms. Mattie’s Bar-B-Q Sauce. Simmer another 1-2 minutes.  Remove from heat allow to stand for 5 minutes.
Then serve over with pan broth or beside rice.
Garnish with lemon and Avocado slices.
